New York - Legal Editor

New York NY Legal Editor
The candidate will work in the practice area of Bankruptcy. Will deliver core content (i.e. legal practical guidance materials) for the module legal practitioners based on customer need. Develop new content and maintain existing content to a high standard technically and editorially. Assist with customer queries. Contribute ideas for new content and tools. Adhere to and contribute towards a defined practice area approach across company and across all formats. Ensure that all personal milestones for product delivery are met. Adhere to appropriate systems for tracking progress. Meet with customers as appropriate to receive feedback and to keep up to date with their needs. Contribute towards delivery of a market facing product offering and the development of the content offering. Maintain and develop own knowledge base and expertise ensuring that 'being the expert customers would pay to spend time with' comes to life. Network and collaborate with the wider business to share and access existing content and to identify new business opportunities.

The candidate should be a qualified lawyer having considerable post qualification experience in the practice area. Should evidence that continuing professional development is pursued. Must have comprehensive current knowledge of practice area. Should have real understanding of the legal community. Extensive experience of own practice area needed. Extensive client delivery experience required. General interest in new 'publishing' technologies preferred. Experience of sales and marketing support/initiatives desired. Hawaii - Tax - Business Tax Services Senior Manager

Honolulu HI Tax - Business Tax Services Senior Manager
The candidate will use experience in accounting and taxation to provide compliance and consulting services to corporate and individual clients. Will deliver all tax consulting services to the client and bringing in specialists when necessary. Primary responsibilities include: overseeing complex tax research projects for clients in diverse industries; participation in engagements requiring tax analysis for a variety of entities and their affiliates; research and analysis of a wide range of tax issues related to business transactions and tax implications of financing techniques; and tax-planning responsibilities for our corporate and individual clients. Supervise assignments by the professional accountants serving as Tax Consultants, Tax Senior Consultants and Tax Managers. Will have responsibility for the development and motivation of engagement staff by providing them with leadership, counseling and career guidance.

The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or other business related field. CPA, Enrolled Agent or other appropriate certification required. Advanced degree like MST, MAcc, J.D. or LL.M. preferred. Must have 8+ years of public accounting experience or equivalent in law firms or industry. Prior Big 4 experience a plus.
