Corporate Counsel - Contracts

Corporate Counsel - Contracts The candidate will support business leaders in the negotiation, drafting, and review of sell-side and buy-side agreements including transportation agreements, outsourcing agreements, technology agreements, commercial leases, equipment purchase agreements, and numerous other types of commercial agreements. Will negotiate, draft, finalize, and evaluate contracts with customers, outside carriers, suppliers, vendors, and lessors. Develop and leverage internal and external relationships and networks to maximize the achievement of business goals. Provide general legal, compliance and insurance advice. Direct legal support for business transactions and projects involving risk. Identify, assess and manage risk to the company. Participate in other duties as assigned.

The candidate should have a J.D. degree from an ABA-accredited law school with excellent academic credentials. Should be licensed to practice law (and in good standing) in at least one state. Must have 2 years of relevant legal experience post-degree. Experience negotiating, drafting, and reviewing commercial agreements is required. Experience in negotiating and drafting transportation and software/information technology agreements is preferred. Experience with real estate transactions and contracts is desired. Experience working in a corporate legal environment is an asset.
