Senior Corporate Attorney Responsibilities: Working closely with both FHS management and the legal teams to set the strategic direction of the business. Providing legal advice on marketing materials and equipment sales, medical services and related contracts, and supporting sales, marketing and contracts management teams, on a wide range of issues involving commercial, healthcare regulatory and risks management issues. Providing comprehensive advice for joint venture and distribution arrangements worldwide, with a focus of healthcare regulatory, government contract and anti-corruption considerations. Working closely with Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance team on FDA and third-party audits, medical device registrations, customer complaints and other matters. Playing a leading role in the selection and management of outside counsel for matters, and helping to manage their work product and costs. Collaborating with other Professional Instrumentation legal teammates to administer compliance with Standards of Conduct, Anti-Corruption and healthcare-related policies, including tracking regional and local compliance. Supporting the business development team in reviewing and closing acquisitions and disposals of businesses. Assisting in litigation management, including preparing discovery and management of outside counsel. Supporting all areas of the organization, including HR, Operations and Finance. Working with the Professional Instrumentation international, trade compliance and anti-corruption legal teams to address matters worldwide, to ensure consistency, cooperation and superior service. Working with Fluke intellectual property counsel to manage IP considerations worldwide. Monitoring significant changes in laws and regulations and compliance trends that apply to operations and activities and developing policies to ensure continuing compliance. Providing training on Standards of Conduct and medical device and healthcare services-related legal issues to associates. Working with other business units and on special projects in consultation with the legal teams.

Qualifications: JD degree from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials. 7+ years of strong legal leadership in the healthcare industry, with a preference for direct experience with medical devices and/or medical services; a combination of experience with an internationally recognized law firm and prior in-house experience in these areas is also a plus. Experience interacting with the FDA and other global authorities regulating medical device and medical service offerings. Strong knowledge of the U.S. Anti-Kickback Statute, Physician Payments Sunshine Act, False Claims Act, Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, federal healthcare regulations and similar laws and regulations globally that apply to medical equipment sales and services offered by FHS. Prior litigation and lawyer/legal professional management experience preferred. Fluent in English; additional language skills preferred. Must have a broad range of commercial and healthcare-related legal expertise to be able to provide comprehensive and strategic legal advice to the senior management team. Must be able to work cross-functionally, have cultural sensitivity and influence others both internally and externally to the organization (including Finance, HR, Operations, and Commercial). Must have strong attention to detail, including the preparation, management and tracking of complex agreements and other documentation. Must have unquestioned integrity and excellent judgment; must be able to provide pragmatic legal advice to senior management and evaluate and address risks across a range of legal issues. Must be process-oriented and able to build sustainable standard work and systems. Must have strong capabilities to spot legal issues and correspondingly strong capacity to communicate solutions or paths to resolution; must a practical problem-solver. Must be capable of working independently and collaboratively, across matrixed  legal and business organizations, and willing to take on a wide range of strategic and tactical tasks. Must have strong organizational skills, with ability to handle many complex issues simultaneously, prioritizing and effectively managing time.
