Corporate Counsel - Environmental, Health, Safety & Security (EHS&S) Responsibilities: Counsel EHS&S and Manufacturing internal client stakeholders on core personal and process safety legal and regulatory issues, including compliance, incident investigations and reporting, audits and compliance reviews, and policy and program documentation. Advise and train client contacts on legal and regulatory updates in the relevant EHS&S topics, including process and personal safety. Serve as a trusted advisor to company stakeholders, applying judgment to effectively communicate and make recommendations considering the needs of our business, balanced with potentially applicable compliance requirements. Work effectively as a loyal and productive member of cross-functional teams. Provide frontline assistance to company leaders and key stakeholders in times of crisis or responding to governmental / agency investigations.

The candidate should have JD degree from a nationally accredited law school with a strong academic background. Admission to practice before the State Bar of Texas or other U.S. state bar with the intention of securing admission to the State Bar of Texas within a reasonable time. Should have 5+ years of relevant experience in one or more of the following disciplines: process safety, personal safety, incident response, risk management, air, waste, water, and/or product stewardship. Meaningful experience or technical background in supporting chemical or oil and gas facility operations, specifically to include OSHA regulatory requirements. Experience negotiating with OSHA, TCEQ, and EPA considered a plus. Strong and persuasive communication skills and demonstrated experience advising management-level personnel on complex EHS&S matters and prudent legal practices. Highly effective at distilling and explaining complex legal issues to personnel at all levels of the organization.
