Corporate Counsel I
The candidate will review and draft consumer and business loan product agreements. Review and revise vendor contracts to meet business line needs. Provide legal and regulatory compliance review of proposed products and assist with product design and delivery process. Review marketing materials for compliance with consumer regulations and business line standards. Provide legal review and resolution of customer complaints, defaults, and document remediation issues. Monitor changes in state laws and federal regulations impacting consumer financial products.

The candidate should be a licensed US attorney in good standing with TX State Bar Association. Must have 3+ years of relevant experience, preferably in a law firm environment, although relevant in-house financial services corporate legal practice also will be considered to be eligible experience. Knowledge of state and federal consumer finance regulations including TILA/Reg Z, Reg B, Reg E, FCRA, RESPA, HMDA privacy and usury laws required. Should have familiarity with bank products and operations in the areas of: Credit cards, debit cards, consumer secured and unsecured loans, home equity loans, student loans, small business loans.
