Corporate Technology Counsel

Corporate Technology Counsel The candidate will support of inbound technology transactions, outbound client licensing transactions, and some litigation support. Will draft and negotiate inbound technology transactions, and work with technology procurement/sourcing staff to define and structure deals. Work with sales and services staff to draft and negotiate outbound client technology licensing and services deals, and provide support for other legal affairs of the company. Interact with all levels of staff and with a variety of functional areas within the company. Work with supporting legal team members. Must be licensed to practice law in Minnesota. Should have experience practicing law, preferably with a large law firm and/or large internal corporate legal department. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to advise operational managers and work collaboratively with outside counsel is needed. Experience working with a sourcing staff to contract for and manage inbound information technology procurement is must. Hands-on drafting and negotiation experience with information technology deals is essential. Experience working with regulated consumer data and products, particularly the handling of consumer credit data is a plus (FCRA, ECOA, CROA and GLBA). Litigation support experience, in particular responding to third party subpoenas, and collecting and managing discovery is preferred.
