Senior Corporate Counsel The candidate will lead the contracts and compliance functions of a rapidly growing professional services firm with principal offices located in Washington D.C. and Houston, Texas. Will lead a team responsible for contracts management and compliance (across both public and private sector clients); risk management; and corporate compliance. Require working closely with an executive management team to support organizational growth, in the US and overseas. Interact with all levels of management and field personnel, requires executive presence, and strong verbal and written communication skills. Lead and develop the contracts management and contract compliance functions. Draft, negotiate and finalize commercial contracts. Advise management on legal risks and potential liabilities. Lead the risk management program. Lead the corporate compliance program. Collaborate productively with other departments. Provide legal support for business transactions. Manage outsourced legal service providers. Provide training to company staff on legal and compliance matters.

The candidate must have experience with government contracts compliance. Must have professional services/consulting industry experience. Should have Law degree from an accredited law school. Must have 8-10 years of relevant legal experience, including in-house experience. Must be Current member in good standing with the Texas Bar, or other U.S. Jurisdiction. Must have experience leading commercial contracts, risk management and compliance functions; strong interpersonal and communication skills; experience with drafting and negotiating commercial contracts.
