Corporate Counsel, Employment The candidate will provide legal advice and counsel on a broad range of employment issues, including recruiting, hiring, employee relations, discipline, terminations, discrimination, disability accommodation, performance management, internal investigations, leaves of absence, wage and hour compliance, EEO compliance, non-competes, and contingent worker issues. Manage pre-litigation and litigation matters including government agency investigations and administrative charges. Coordinate and drive completion of employment related projects, including internal processes and procedures, new policy roll-outs and implementation, and training programs. Participate in creation and delivery of trainings related to employment law matters, such as harassment training and other manager trainings on a variety of topics. Manage and leverage outside counsel for employment related matters. Monitor state and federal employment legislation and governmental agency enforcement priorities and advise of developments that may affect the organization. Potential management responsibility. Must have JD degree and active bar registration, preferably in Massachusetts. Should have 3-6 years experience in an attorney role, with a minimum of 3 years in employment related work. In-house counsel experience preferred; plus employment law experience across multiple jurisdictions.
