Corporate Counsel Responsibilities: Represent the legal function as part of a team responsible for the full suite of environmental service offerings in the United States and related M&A, joint venture and financing projects, and may also have responsibility for various aspects of internal governance associated with the corporate secretarial function. Will encompass contract negotiations, due diligence, drafting of complex agreements and the provision of general advice related to environmental law.
Qualifications: JD Degree from a nationally recognized law school. Licensed to practice law and a state bar member in good standing. 5 - 8 years in a major law firm, with substantive transactional experience. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills as well as a proven ability to negotiate and draft documentation for sophisticated commercial transactions, notably including complex service and outsourcing contracts. Adept at working with minimal supervision on multiple time-sensitive projects and dealing directly with business developers, senior management and finance, accounting and tax professionals. Excellent interpersonal skills, with an ability to interface with people at all levels by virtue of professional competence, personal integrity, and personal style. Preferred Skills, Knowledge & Experience: Admission to practice law in Massachusetts. Solid background in environmental law and regulation.
