Corporate Counsel

Corporate Counsel Responsibilities: Draft, revise, and negotiate various commercial agreements as necessary to support the business, including consumer product B2B sales, distribution, vendor, supplier, marketing, licensing, confidentiality, intracompany agreements and others. Assist in formulating, drafting, training and administration with respect to corporate policies and procedures. Provide legal support and guidance for contests, sweepstakes, and other online promotions; review advertising copy and provide advice regarding compliance with FTC guidelines and other applicable regulations. Assist with contract and document management organization and procedure for business units. Work with outside counsel on select matters. Contribute as a leader and subject matter expert within the business in order to best drive overall company results. Other duties as may be assigned.

Requirements: JD Degree from an accredited law school; licensed to practice law in the U.S. 8-15 years experience with law firm and/or in-house legal department including at least 5+ years experience working in-house required. Strong fact-finding, contract drafting, contract negotiating, writing, and legal research skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills; must be able to work effectively with individuals at all levels both internally and externally. Experience with drafting consumer product wholesale and/or retail contracts preferred; extensive general contract drafting experience required. Able to manage multiple project and tasks and meet tight deadlines. Strong organization, planning and attention to detail. Strategic thinker and ability to work with minimal supervision. International experience a plus.
