Corporate Counsel The candidate plan and implement privacy practices and procedures. Provide legal guidance and support concerning privacy laws, e-commerce, home sale transactions, marketing, financial services, information technology and other issues that arise on a day-to-day basis. Review and negotiate complex commercial transactions and agreements, including licensing and information technology agreements. Analyze federal and state privacy statutes and regulations to revise and implement the Company s privacy practices and procedures on an ongoing basis. Review e-commerce, customer relationship management (CRM) and digital marketing practices and programs for privacy and other compliance issues; draft documentation as necessary. Interact daily with personnel across the Company, including compliance, financial services, marketing, and information technology, regarding a broad array of compliance issues including those typically encountered in the home building industry and the mortgage and title businesses. Review and negotiate license and software as a service agreement, software implementation and development agreements, and non-disclosure agreements. Manage and prioritize multiple projects; analyze business and legal risks presented by these projects, coordinate with appropriate stakeholders; and bring these projects to a successful conclusion without significant supervision.
The candidate should have Jurist Doctoral degree (J.D.). 3+ years of corporate experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements is required. Experience as corporate attorney in leading law firm is preferred. Ability: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints. Ability to work with mathematical concepts. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and negotiate effectively.
