Associate Corporate Counsel The candidate will be responsible for counseling various business teams on a broad range of commercial and regulatory matters and structuring, drafting and negotiating transactions. Will be working directly with the business, serving as lead counsel on strategic initiatives and goals, providing day-to-day advice, resolving issues that arise in existing commercial relationships and handling pre-litigation legal disputes and inquiries. Providing ongoing legal counseling in a wide range of legal areas, including regulatory, trade and compliance.
The candidate should have a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and admitted to State Bar or called to the Bar in one Canadian province. Must have 2+ years of experience practicing law. In-house experience at a technology company is desired. Familiarity with privacy laws is preferred. Experience with consumer protection and health and safety issues are desired. Strong interest in high growth businesses and technology is preferred. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are desired.
