\Senior Corporate Counsel Prepaid Card The Candidate will be responsible for providing legal counsel in connection with the negotiation and drafting of contracts with U.S. Banks and FSVs customers, vendors and partners, including reviewing RFP responses, in the Prepaid card space. Providing legal counsel to the Prepaid relationship managers in matters such as interpreting contract language, considering strategic alternatives, reviewing and advising on product and process changes, and advising on possible defaults and remedial options. Working with outside legal counsel and other professional advisors regarding new product initiatives and technology driven advancements. Interpretation, application and revision of various Prepaid policies and procedures.
The candidate should have Law degree. Licensed by and in good standing with the appropriate state bar association or other appropriate state attorney licensing authority with 5+ years of experience at either a law firm or in-house corporate environment. In-depth knowledge of commercial contracts, financial services and the operating environment of financial institutions. Prior experience in the payments or card product sectors, with knowledge of regulatory regime governing consumer cards and payment network operating rules is strongly preferred. Comfort with and interest in working on a variety of legal matters relating to cutting edge payment technologies. Ability to work on a diverse mix of matters with minimal supervision. Ability to timely exercise independent legal judgment and discretion to reach an appropriate business and risk-oriented outcome. Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills. Strong commitment to client service.
