Associate Corporate Counsel

Associate Corporate Counsel The candidate will provide a wide range of legal services and advice to the company. Works closely with Senior Corporate Counsel, General Counsel, senior management and team members at all levels to provide guidance and direction on wide-ranging legal and regulatory issues. Draft and negotiate legal documents. Advise and lead responses to external oversight. Review company polices to maintain compliance. Research and advise on policies, procedures, statutes and regulations. Work with vendors to provide guidance and resolve compliance issues. Advise the business as to legal considerations related to title, settlement and privacy laws and regulations, backed by sound legal analysis and reasoning. Keep informed of industry-specific regulations and ensure that appropriate risk management strategies are in place. Must have Juris Doctor degree. Should preferably have 3 years of legal experience, either in a law firm setting or in-house. Member in good standing with the State Bar of Michigan (or another state and eligible for admission in Michigan) desired. Privacy experience preferred. Title experience preferred. Must have strong leadership, analytical and communication skills. Understanding of TILA-RESPA, RESPA, FCRA and Title regulations a plus.
