Corporate Counsel The candidate will be part of a larger team responsible for counseling cross functional business teams, including, retail and compliance teams, on products regulatory and compliance matters. Principal duties include (i) providing day-to-day advice on regulations concerning the sale of billions of consumer products sold in our stores; (ii) monitoring and advising retail and compliance teams on upcoming regulatory changes; (iii) formulating, implementing, and maintaining applicable regulatory compliance policies and processes; and (iv) providing mission critical legal advice on the design of safety mechanisms such as recalls tools. Must have three or more years of legal experience advising on products compliance issues as well as experience with Consumer Product Safety Commission standards and regulations. The successful candidate must be enthusiastic, enjoy working hard, being challenged, team-oriented and demonstrate sound judgment even in ambiguous situations. A J.D. degree and membership in one state bar is required. Should have 5+ years of experience practicing law. 3+ years of experience providing legal counsel and support for product compliance. A J.D. degree (or equivalent) and membership in good standing in at least one state bar. Experience with Consumer Product Safety Commission standards and regulations. Experience with global environmental and technical regulations attaching to the manufacture, sale, distribution, use and disposition of products including consumer devices, including EU regulatory requirements. A combination of law firm, in-house or government experience. Ability to work both independently and as part of a cross-functional team. Strong organizational and project management skills. Strong analytical and communication skills.
