Corporate Counsel Responsibilities: Provides high quality oral and written legal advice in a cost-effective manner to internal clients. Recommends practical courses of action to achieve client goals within the scope of what is legally permissible Proficient in the use of legal technology and comfortable with the implementation of legal operating processes as a way to provide client support and guidance. Actively contribute as a member or leader of cross-functional projects. Representative duties include: Drafting and reviewing legal documents (e.g. contracts, non-disclosure agreements, insurance related documents, marketing material, other) involving substantial legal issues; use and interpretation of legal technology. Manages a fast-paced and diverse workflow. May assign, direct and review the work of law clerks and paralegals May prepare and conduct training sessions for internal clients Maintains current knowledge of legal issues and developments in the law.

Qualifications: Completion of law school with a JD Degree or L.L.B. degree and admission to the Bar of at least one jurisdiction in the United States required. Generally, requires 3+ years experience as a practicing attorney. Excellent oral and written communication skills, client focus, managing multiple priorities, attention to detail, strong desire to learn, comfort with exploring new technologies, and demonstrated ability to conduct research and analysis of legal issues. Experience within the insurance industry a plus. Background in reviewing and negotiating contracts helpful.
