Senior Corporate Counsel

Senior Corporate Counsel Duties: Partner with business teams and drive legal negotiations on commercial contracts to ensure the best commercial outcome. Collaborate with business partners to ensure that all third party related work and services undertaken is in alignment with the Company's overall mission, messaging and strategy. Identify blockers to growth, consider and develop ideas to eliminate those blockers while protecting short, medium and long term interests. Proactively seek to get involved in legal work throughout the Americas which relates to commercial, corporate or any other legal area. Apply prior knowledge to continuously review and improve contract templates and approaches to deal negotiations and relationships with external partners (such as third party vendors and suppliers of goods and services). Establish and execute strategies for legal training to business partners throughout the Americas. Develop and maintain strong relationships with business partners through regular catch-ups; demonstrate an eagerness to foster such relationships. Speak up when opportunities are identified to improve on processes used by business partners. Identify opportunities for internal process improvements and assume a lead role in implementing them. Qualifications: Licensed and a member of the bar in good standing in the United States. 7+ years experienced commercial law lawyer with experience in other areas of law such as data privacy, general corporate governance and general corporate law. Extensive experience in negotiating and drafting general commercial contracts. Demonstrated experience effectively collaborating with stakeholders from a variety of commercial disciplines. Ability to support data privacy program. Ability to work independently with a variety of stakeholders within the company and outside the company. Demonstrated experience being a business partner to stakeholders. Experience with or strong excitement for a start-up environment. Comfortable working cross-functionally to better understand and support. An ultimate team player with strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong preference for candidates located in Dallas, Texas. Previous hospitality and travel experience is a plus.
