Corporate Counsel The candidate will require a knowledge of standard contractual terms with strong drafting skills and a business mindset. Additionally an understanding of, or experience is support for regulatory functions involving environmental, health and safety is a plus. Support the manufacturing, operations and procurement functions in the review, drafting and negotiation of a large variety and volume of agreements. Advise on a variety of legal and regulatory compliance matters in support of the company's operations in the environmental, health and safety area. Partner with business stakeholders to ensure company understanding of and compliance with OSHA, FDA, EPA and related federal, state and local laws, regulations, and guidelines governing the company's operations. Provide legal advice on contractual dispute matters including breach and termination. Operate independently to manage relationships with many business counterparts to understand their challenges and help develop solutions. Spot issues related to the areas highlighted above and keep abreast of the latest developments in the industry and regulatory environment. Collaborate efficiently and effectively across legal and business functions in a manner that adds value, balances risk, and protects the company's reputation. Participate as the legal representative on various cross-functional projects and initiatives, and work collaboratively with key functional groups within firm. Should have Juris Doctor from accredited institution. Must have 3 years of legal experience in complex contract drafting and negotiation and/or experience advising clients on OSHA, FDA and related compliance matters at a law firm, or as part of an in-house corporate legal department of a CPG company. Broad expertise with the legal and regulatory issues pertaining to manufacturing is required. Should have Knowledge of compliance requirements for manufacturing.
