Corporate Counsel, Transactional

Corporate Counsel, Transactional The candidate will support the Kuiper team by reviewing, drafting, and negotiating a variety of contracts in orbit, including purchase agreements, development agreements, license agreements, design services agreements, and manufacturing agreements. Will also provide counseling in a range of legal areas, including intellectual property (e.g., open source), technology development, and security. Develop strategies for handling legal issues in creative, business-centric ways and engineer processes that allow the business flexibility and freedom to move quickly.

The candidate should have a J.D. degree from an accredited law school and active membership in one State Bar. Must have 5+ years of practice as a transactional attorney, preferably with some portion of that experience dealing with hardware, software, or technology development transactions. A deep understanding of intellectual property is required. A mix of law firm and in-house experience a plus. Experience focused on issues related to privacy, data protection or related regulatory matters (e.g., data protection regulation such as CCPA, GDPR, or LGPD) is preferred.
