Senior Corporate Counsel, Americas Employment and Global Projects The candidate will join Employment Law Group. As a key part of team, will serve as a trusted advisor to our Human Resources, Employee Relations, and other internal clients across North America. Will also play a key role in leading and managing global employment-related projects in partnership with regionally-based lawyers. Will join a fun and hard-working group of global employment attorneys whose mission is to provide scalable, business-oriented strategies and risk-aligned solutions in support of firm's business and its employees, while ensuring compliance with applicable laws. responsibilities include: Providing practical and business-oriented legal advice to the North America Human Resources Team and the business on matters impacting our workforce and culture, including hiring, performance management, discrimination, harassment, wage and hour, restrictive covenants, leaves and accommodations, compensation and benefits, reductions-in-force, contractor issues, and diversity and inclusion; Providing support with regard to design, interpretation, and enforcement of sales commission plans; Responding to attorney demand letters and agency matters, including government-initiated inquiries and audits; Providing employment support in mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence and post-close integration; Managing and partnering with outside counsel on employment litigation matters; Negotiating separation agreements; Collaborate with the Human Resources Team to generate and implement trainings on HR and employment law topics; and Supporting Companys Global Employment Lead by leading and managing global employment-related projects should have JD from an accredited U.S. law school and are a member in good standing of a U.S. State bar (preference for California, Texas, New York, or Massachusetts, depending on where you will be based). 10+ years specializing in U.S. employment law, with in-house experience at a multinational corporation strongly preferred. Must have meaningful international employment law experience.
