IP Transactions Corporate Counsel The candidate will be drafting and negotiating agreements, advising business stakeholders on ways to manage legal risks in external partnerships, and improving processes for evaluating external technical contributions such as scientific papers and open sourcing. Some travel, domestic and international, is required. Should have 5+ years experience as a transactional attorney, with a significant portion of that experience in IP and technology. Juris Doctor and membership in good standing in at least one state bar is required. Experience with partnerships between industry and universities or research institutions preferred. Experience with open source licensing and counseling, IP policy development, and standards desired. A science, computer science, or engineering degree a plus. Effective oral and written communication skills in communicating business and legal issues to a wide variety of audiences, e.g., developers, engineers, business leaders, and legal professionals, at all levels of the organization.
