Corporate Counsel, Legal Responsibilities: Evaluation of open source license requirements, both in-bound and out-bound, and implementation of those requirements within AMD internal processes. Partner with the product, engineering, and other partners to support the development and release of AMD software. Client counseling on a wide variety of matters, including the development of streamlined, simplified processes. Drafting and negotiating inbound and out-bound technology license agreements, including software license agreements. Working as part of a larger corporate team, including client group, finance, and operations, to support transactions.

Qualifications: Have a J.D. from an accredited law school in the United States; Be admitted to practice in a state bar and in good standing; and Preferred experience: Have 2+ years in in-house or private practice (i) providing legal counsel to clients on intellectual property and business issues, (ii) drafting and negotiating business and technology (including software) license agreements, and (iii) partnering with clients to develop internal processes to help handle legal risk; and Be flexible and willing to assume new or different responsibilities as the needs of the client evolve. Experience with open source software compliance and product counseling is a plus.
