Corporate Counsel, Last Mile Legal The candidate will be an integral part of the business teams you support, serving as lead counsel on a variety of matters, including negotiating strategic technology transactions, fleet procurement, and other commercial deals; acting as lead product counsel for emerging fleet technology; and advising on fleet deployment, safety, and regulatory compliance and policy issues. You will help the business teams develop programs and tools to continually improve the delivery experience and safety of drivers, customers, and the broader community. You will develop strategies for handling legal issues in creative, business-centric ways and you will build processes that address risk and provide us with the flexibility and freedom to move quickly. J.D. degree from an accredited law school and membership in one state Bar, 5+ years of legal experience at a law firm, corporation, military, or similar experience, A mix of corporate law firm and in-house experience (ideally in a start-up or other rapid growth phase) is a plus, with experience in technology transactions, product counseling and/or privacy, Ability to work effectively and demonstrate sound judgment in fast-paced, ambiguous situations, Ability to work independently while contributing successfully to cross-functional teams, Excellent organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects at once, follow through, and meet deadlines, Strong written and oral communication skills, Strong analytical and computer skills, Common sense, great judgment, and a good sense of humor are required.
