Corporate Counsel Duties: Draft, review, edit and negotiate customer contracts and related documents to facilitate the sale/licensing of RealPage s products and services to our customers. Create new forms, and revise existing forms, of customer contracts to support consistent expansion of products and services and to promote process innovation and efficiency. Liaise directly between the Sales and Legal Departments to manage, facilitate, track and ensure efficient processing of a large volume of customer contracts. Provide legal advice to senior management, and serve as point person with the Legal Department, for customer contract-related issues and questions. Perform customer contract-related diligence in support of RealPage s M&A activity. Serve as RealPage s subject matter expert, within the Legal Department, relating to the Company s customer contract lifecycle management tools and processes. The candidate must be comfortable engaging/communicating with our customers legal counsel on a daily basis, display mature judgment relating to the prioritization of negotiation points, and must commit to fully understanding the core components of RealPage s business.
Qualifications: Must have 5+ years experience negotiating, drafting and editing complex commercial contracts, ideally through a combination of law firm and in-house experience. Proficient grasp of recent developments in the law relating to commercial contracts including data privacy laws. Juris Doctor from an accredited law school with strong academics; state license in good standing. Experience developing processes and procedures relating to customer contract review. Excellent commercial contract comprehension, drafting and verbal negotiation skills capable of, and comfortable with, engaging with external legal counsel on a variety of legal topics. Excellent drafting skills. Self-motivated, team-oriented and adaptable. Exceptional logic and deductive, problem-solving skills.
