Corporate Counsel The candidate provides sound legal advice and innovative solutions to a variety of stakeholders on a broad range of legal topics. Drafts and negotiates commercial contracts, including customer, vendor, real estate, and licensing agreements. Facilitates the resolution of employee issues in a variety of jurisdictions. Supports compliance with a variety of regulatory matters. Provide timely, accurate, independent, and commercially pragmatic legal advice in a wide range of areas. Develop and maintain close working relationships with internal clients as well as business managers across the company. Contribute to the Legal team's support to Imagine Communications in achieving its strategic and tactical objectives. Liaise with other members of the Legal team to promote and apply the best legal practices. Identify risks and propose alternative structures to mitigate risks involved in operations, potential transactions, contracts, and litigation. Provide counsel and work collaboratively with other team members from other departments. Must have a JD degree and active license to practice law in at least one jurisdiction in the US. Experience in IT transactional matters including software licensing, SaaS, and managed services are required. Experience in general legal matters including NDAs, supply chain agreements, employment law, property leases is needed. Must have 2+ years of experience in a top law firm and preferably 1+ years in an established in-house legal department. International transactional experience is desired. Media, broadcast, and/or cable industry experience is a plus. Must be well organized, with a strong ability to work on numerous projects and conflicting demands in a fast-paced environment. Strong negotiation, interpersonal and communication skills are required. Must have the ability to effectively present information to senior management. The ability to explain legal matters in a business-like manner that clarifies business risks involved in alternative legal approaches. Ability to work flexibly across global time zones with a diverse customer/supplier base. Must be self-assured and confident in a variety of settings with a strong belief in own capabilities. Superior analytical and writing skills are needed. Should preferably be multilingual. Strong business acumen is desired. Must be talented, detail-oriented.
