Corporate Counsel - Commercial Contracts Duties: Serve as legal counsel on the review, negotiation and drafting of various types of commercial contracts for Cullen/ers Inc. and its various subsidiaries. Develop, draft and review legal aspects of vendor policies and procedures and standard provisions library. Collaborate with Information Technology, Vendor Management, Risk, Compliance and Accounting/Finance on vendor and commercial contract-related processes and workflows. Monitor emerging trends and recommend enhancements to vendor management and supply chain policies, procedures and practices. Assist with the management of Legal Department vendor relationships. Assist with ad-hoc projects as assigned from time to time.
Qualifications: Juris Doctor from accredited law school, and member of State Bar of Texas (preferred). 5+ years of experience working as an attorney at a law firm or company. Ability to exercise sound judgment to identify risks and convey advice. Ability to interact confidently and respectfully with peers as well as more junior or senior team members. Detail-oriented and process-driven. Responsive and reliable. Self-motivated and enthusiastic about identifying areas to add value.
