Senior Corporate Counsel, Labor and Employment Responsibilities: Working with key partners to lead an employee privacy practice group and counsel on employee privacy issues, providing practical advice and counseling regarding general labor and employment issues such as those relating to wage and hour, time and attendance, discrimination, disability accommodation, hiring, performance management and discharge, wrongful termination, and other relevant labor and employment issues. Responsibilities also include managing litigation, including class action litigation, government agency investigations, proactive training, and administrative charges as well as the assessment, selection, and supervision of outside counsel. Working closely with internal clients on the HR team and colleagues on the Amazon legal team and requires the ability to travel on an as-needed basis and work extended hours when necessary.

Qualifications: J.D. degree and membership in good standing in one state bar. 10+ years of legal experience. Preferred Qualifications: A mix of law firm and in-house experience is preferred. Experience leading an employee privacy practice group and handling employee privacy issues is preferred. Ability to demonstrate sound judgment even in ambiguous situations. Ability to work independently while being able to contribute successfully to cross-functional teams. Excellent organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects at once, follow through, and meet deadlines. Strong written and oral communication skills. Strong analytical and computer skills.
