Associate Corporate Counsel Duties: Providing broad legal counsel to corporate functions including non-prod purchasing, treasury, information technology, tax services, human resources, finance, and logistics. Review, draft and negotiate agreements and contracts with vendors and certain customers. Support business development strategies. Provide legal support on M&A projects and initiatives. Assist divisional counsel as needed.
Qualifications: Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school. Licensed and in good standing to practice law in Michigan. Should have 3-5 years of related experience with emphasis on contract law including drafting, editing, and negotiating. In-house corporate law experience is a plus as well as automotive industry experience. Confident in making decisions. Exceptional communication and writing skills. Excellent negotiation and influencing skills. Ability to work independently.
