Corporate Counsel Responsibilities: Prepare, revise, and negotiate various contracts, including services agreements with facility customers, vendor contracts, IT contracts, settlement agreements, and other business agreements. Manage a high contracting volume autonomously, including multiple and varied operational projects. Provide strategic and tactical legal guidance on operations and regulatory matters. Ensure all Company activities and operations are carried out in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and laws governing business operations. Remain informed of industry-specific regulations and ensure that appropriate risk management strategies are in place. Participate in the business strategy and negotiation of various business contracts. Participate in special projects and perform other job-related duties as assigned. Read and abide by the company's code of conduct, ethics statements, employee handbook(s), policies and procedures, and other corporate mandates, including participation in mandatory training programs. Demonstrate commitment to the company's corporate compliance program, policies, and procedures by exhibiting the company values and acting in accordance with any reporting policies of the company.
Qualifications: Licensed attorney holding a J.D. from a top-tier law school with 3+ years of related experience in a law firm or in-house setting. Microsoft Office Suite. Legal Research Tools (i.e. LexisNexis). Contract Management platforms. Licensed to practice law and in good standing in at least one U.S. state. Strong business acumen. Ability to manage, organize, and execute on a very high contract volume. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Strong word processing/spreadsheet computer skills required. Excellent leadership presentation and teamwork skills. Effective at the delegation of responsibility and accountability. Effective oral and written communication skills. Effective interpersonal skills. Strong negotiation skills. Excellent attention to detail and strong project management and organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, manage a variety of projects simultaneously, meet aggressive deadlines and successfully handle urgent situations with patience and diplomacy. An agile and flexible thinker, with the ability to learn emerging areas of the law and the business quickly. Ability to function independently and as a part of a team. Ability to build credibility quickly and provide strong legal support for a complex and challenging business, while positively and successfully managing relationships within a diverse group of stakeholders. A commitment to personal and professional growth, and receptivity to feedback. The ability to prioritize and manage competing demands is preferred. The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment is desired. A spirit of continuous learning is a plus.
