Associate Corporate Counsel Responsibilities: Provide foresight and protection for the company against legal risks. Provide guidance to junior attorneys. Negotiate with contractual counterparties on non-legal issues. Prepare and examine contracts for internal and external legal matters including, but not limited to, leases, licenses, purchases, sales, insurance, etc.. Analyze proposed and established legislation, prepare legal documents, and review company policies. Identify, investigate and analyze claims and legal issues, draft key documents, present clear recommendations, and assure legal compliance. Coordinate proactive completion of discovery as a case may require, i.e. interrogatories, request for production of documents, depositions. Contribute to all phases of litigation in cases involving employment discrimination, breach of contract, wrongful discharge and unfair labor practice claims. Provide strategic legal guidance, advice and counsel to senior leaders in a variety of corporate, commercial and litigation matters. Advise senior management on a wide variety of legal matters, including risk and control issues; provide support on commercial concerns, negotiations, and regulatory issues across a broad range of legal subjects. Collaborate with outside labor and employment counsel to maintain compliance and accomplish goals. Ensure organizational business practices are in compliance with the industry's concepts, practices, and procedures.

Qualifications: JD Degree from an accredited Law School with 4+ years of relevant experience (post law school). Licensed to practice law (and in good standing) in at least one jurisdiction. Preferred Qualifications: Admission to the Arkansas Bar. Labor and employment and/or data privacy experience strongly preferred. Experience in the transportation industry. Experience with a major law firm, corporate law department, or equivalent. Interest in learning new areas of the law. Experience working in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work independently or on a team. Ability to analyze complex legal matters. Customer-focused and ability to effectively communicate with and influence business leaders at all levels of the organization. Excellent project management skills, writing skills, listening and oral communications skills, diplomacy, finesse and interpersonal skills. Strong business judgment and skill in distinguishing between high and low priority legal issues. Demonstrated ability to influence business leaders and impact decision-making.
