Associate Corporate Counsel, AWS Legal The candidate will support AWS Marketplace. AWS Marketplace enables sellers to offer their software to AWS customers while enabling buyers to discover, purchase and consume software. As product counsel for AWS Marketplace, you will have the opportunity to guide and counsel internal business customers; structure, draft, and negotiate agreements; and assess issues across the product and service development spectrum. Additional responsibilities of this position include formulation and implementation of compliance programs, process-oriented improvements, and resolving legal issues that arise in existing commercial relationships. Must have experience in a variety of practice areas, including (but not limited to) litigators, general corporate, mergers & acquisitions, technical transactions, intellectual property, telecommunications, real estate, products, regulatory compliance, and privacy. We don t expect every applicant to have experience working with cloud computing and we are looking for candidates who are willing to learn and develop alongside our team. Most importantly, we hire smart people of all backgrounds and experiences who demonstrate leadership and sound judgment in ambiguous situations. We need lawyers with solid legal training, who are motivated, curious, humble, and who have a good sense of humor. Should have a J.D. degree or international equivalent from an accredited law school and active membership in one state bar. Must have 3+ years experience practicing law. Familiarity with cloud computing. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Strong analytical, written and oral communication. Curiosity, and a willingness to learn and grow in a team environment. Ability to work independently while being able to contribute successfully to cross-functional teams.
