Associate Corporate Counsel Privacy & Data Protection Responsibilities: Be part of the US legal team of the company. Work in close alignment with the Global Privacy Counsel and the US and global privacy office. Help the organization achieve and maintain compliance with relevant global, federal, and state laws and regulations as well as company policies on data protection and privacy. Pro-actively identify upcoming changes in law and regulations impacting the business and communicate with local units regarding trends and risk mitigation strategies. Support contract negotiations with customers and vendors in relation to relevant data protection matters. Support, guide and train managers and members of local business units and functions in the implementation of company policies and other company requirements related to data protection. Support various business units in the performance of data privacy risk assessments and monitoring of internal controls. Provide guidance and actively support local business units regarding inspections, audits and data privacy incidents. Conduct regular audits of data processing activities for compliance (both in relation to company-internal matters and customer engagements). Support resolution of data subject rights requests and security/data incidents. Provide compliance reporting.

Requirements: Must have 5-10 years working in the privacy practice of a law firm and/or as an in-house privacy counsel. Must be admitted to a State Bar. Some experience in handling IT contracts preferred.
