Corporate Counsel RESPONSIBILITIES: Negotiating and drafting commercial contracts by and between automotive suppliers and original equipment manufacturers. Providing legal counsel to operational and service functions with the goal of accomplishing business objectives while minimizing legal and commercial risks. Providing legal counsel on employment matters, including matters involving FMLA, FLSA, ADA and discrimination, as well as gathering information for and drafting responses to agency complaints. Developing best practices policies to insulate MAHLE from liability. Assisting with preparation of pre-litigation work to minimize risks and maximize legal rights. Researching legal issues impacting the organization by identifying applicable statutes, judicial decisions, and codes.

QUALIFICATIONS: A juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school in the United States is required. Licensed or in-house certified to practice law in the state of Michigan is required. Should have 2 years of progressive professional legal experience is required; 5 or more is preferred. 1+ years of Law Firm experience with demonstrated experience analyzing and providing counsel on Commercial matters. An automotive industry experience is strongly preferred.
