Assistant Corporate Counsel The candidate will draft and review contracts for internal and external legal matters including, but not limited to, leases, licenses, purchases, sales, insurance, etc. Will specialize in legal contracts. Collaborate with senior management on a wide variety of legal matters, including risk and control issues; provide support on commercial concerns, negotiations, and regulatory issues across a broad range of legal subjects. Assist in providing strategic legal guidance, advice and counsel to senior leaders in a variety of corporate, commercial and litigation matters. Ensure organizational business practices are in compliance with the industry's concepts, practices, and procedures. Assist in providing foresight and protection for the company against legal risks. Investigate and analyze claims and legal issues. Analyze proposed and established legislation, prepare legal documents, and review company policies. Identify and analyze legal issues, drafts key documents, presents clear recommendations, and assures legal compliance. Juris Doctorate from an accredited Law School with 1-2 years of relevant experience (post law school). Licensed to practice law (and in good standing) in at least one jurisdiction. Admission to the Arkansas Bar. Experience negotiating, drafting, and reviewing transportation and software/information technology agreements. Experience in the transportation industry. Experience with real estate transactions and contracts. Experience working in a corporate legal environment/department. Experience working in a fast-paced environment. Excellent project management skills, writing skills, listening and oral communications skills, diplomacy, finesse and interpersonal skills. Strong business judgment and skill in distinguishing between high and low priority legal issues. Ability to work independently or on a team. Ability to effectively communicate with and influence business leaders at all levels of the organization. Law (Required), GED (Required), High School (Required).
