Corporate Counsel The candidate will structure, draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial agreements, including supply agreements, statements of work, vendor and contractor agreements, and confidentiality agreements. Provide ongoing legal counseling on a wide range of legal areas, such as insurance, employment, compliance and litigation matters. Support the company's corporate activities, including due diligence and integration work for acquisitions. Support implementation and enforcement of company compliance and environmental, health and safety policies.
The candidate should have 5 years of experience practicing law within a legal department of a global company or large law firm. A J.D. degree from an accredited law school with excellent academic credentials. Admitted to practice in New York, or eligible for in-house counsel registration. International experience and German language skills are a plus. Experience handling a broad range of legal issues with an emphasis on commercial matters, including contract review and drafting, litigation and claims management. Ability to efficiently manage the contract review process and prioritize numerous stakeholder requests for legal review to timely deliver accurate feedback regarding requested customer redlines. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a highly matrixed organization. Ability to work collaboratively, independently, strategically, and with sound judgment. Excellent writing, communication and research skills.
