Corporate Counsel Duties: Manage contract review and negotiations. Manages litigation caseload, including assignments, status updates, document review and document organization to ensure work quality meets the requirements and is delivered within specified timeframes set by the General Counsel. Engages with outside counsel to oversee litigation. Utilizes information systems and procedures or establish new procedures to facilitate the organization and retrieval of documents by and for the General Counsel. Prepares reports for the General Counsel oversight, including coordinating interaction with cross-functional departments. Completes assigned projects as appropriate to ensure priorities projects are addressed and completed within the specified timeframe. Supports the General Counsel with various legal, transactional, securities and governance matters. Utilizes information systems and procedures or establish new procedures to facilitate the organization and retrieval of documents by and for the General Counsel. Maintains and provides legal and community data as requested and required.

Qualifications: Juris Doctorate degree with Admission to the State Bar. 1+ years of applicable law practice experience including contract review and negotiation, employment matters, and regulatory compliance. Experience preparing and maintaining necessary assisted living licensure. Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail. Demonstrated high-level organizational skills, detail-oriented with a proven ability to handle multiple priorities and to take initiative to resolve issues. Demonstrated exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including strong spelling, grammatical and mathematical skills. Strong focus on business writing practices and must be able proofread and produce accurate, professional documents and information. High degree of professionalism and interpersonal skills. Able to adapt to changing priorities and develop proactive planning for the upcoming week. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion, be adaptable to various competing demands, and demonstrate the highest level of client service and response. Ability to achieve high performance goals and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Exceptional oral and written communication skills. Excellent negotiation skills. Exceptionally detail-oriented. Ability to meet deadlines. Ability to multitask. Able to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail. Able to develop a positive rapport with clients, vendors, subcontractors and employees. Proficient in Microsoft Office including, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
