Senior Counsel - Commercial, Corporate, And Investment Banking Litigation Duties: Manage complex claims and litigation for multiple business areas. Provide legal advice and represent the Company in negotiations, settlement discussions, and resolution of litigation and pre-litigation demands. Provide guidance on legal matters to assist with risk assessment, planning and policy decisions, and development of cost-effective risk mitigation strategies. Work directly with business clients and develop an in-depth understanding of business activities and products. Identify and analyze complex legal issues, develop conclusions, and make recommendations for issue resolution. Provide strategic direction to and collaborate with outside counsel. Draft complex legal documents and review and negotiate documents prepared by outside counsel. Prepare litigation reports and presentations tailored to specific internal and external stakeholders. Collaborate within the Legal Department and across business and enterprise functions to address legal and risk issues and achieve goals. Have an opportunity to lead projects, and teams, or serve as a mentor for less experienced colleagues. Qualifications: 4+ years of Law experience, or the equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, and education. Active State Bar membership or the equivalent in a country outside the United States. Desired Qualifications: Experience as a practicing attorney. Experience handling commercial and corporate defensive litigation and providing effective counsel to clients on complex legal matters. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a complex environment with a high degree of collaboration. Ability to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and deadlines.
