Corporate Counsel, Labor & Employment The candidate's responsibilities include working with key partners to advise on programs and policies for leave and accommodation and providing practical advice and counseling regarding general labor and employment issues such as those relating to wage and hour, time and attendance, discrimination, disability accommodation, hiring, performance management and discharge, wrongful termination, and other relevant labor and employment issues. Responsibilities also include managing litigation, including class action litigation, government agency investigations, proactive training, and administrative charges as well as the assessment, selection, and supervision of outside counsel. Should have a J.D. degree and membership in good standing in one state Bar. Should have 5+ years of legal practice experience. Should have 2+ years of experience advising on programs and policies for leave of absence and accommodation. A mix of law firm and in-house experience is preferred. Should have the ability to demonstrate sound judgment even in ambiguous situations. Should have the ability to work independently while being able to contribute successfully to cross-functional teams. Excellent organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple projects at once, follow through, and meet deadlines are needed. Strong written and oral communication skills are needed. Strong analytical and computer skills are required.
