Digital Assets Counsel - Corporate & Investment Bank The candidate will provide and coordinate legal advice across complex issues for the products that you support and in connection with the development and implementation of innovative product solutions. Will collaborate with global business teams and legal/compliance colleagues and other control functions in each of our regions to address and resolve complex issues. Provide Legal coverage of digital asset initiatives in CIB, including Payments, Markets, Securities Services, Investment Banking, and Cross-CIB initiatives. Advise the business on relevant legal, regulatory, and market developments involving distributed ledger technology and crypto assets.
The candidate should have 5+ years of relevant legal experience at a law firm, the in-house legal department at a large bank, technology or other financial services company, or a governmental or regulatory agency. Must be licensed to practice law and a member in good standing in the state/ jurisdiction in which the position is based or otherwise in compliance with the in-house counsel registration rules of that state/jurisdiction. A proven ability to independently identify issues, analyze problems and provide viable solutions is required. The ability to communicate and interact effectively with all levels of personnel and management, including senior executives is needed. Must have experience in collaborating on a broad range of business strategies and has a reputation for providing valued independent counsel and wise judgment.
