Associate Corporate Counsel Duties: The candidate will support AWS's public sector sales teams by negotiating, drafting, and advising on a wide range of procurement, technology licensing, and compliance matters involving Federal Government customers. Should have a J.D. and admitted to at least one state Bar. Should have 2+ years of government contracts legal experience. In depth knowledge of U.S. government procurement processes and contracting laws, rules, and regulations are needed. Experience in-house at a technology company, law firm, or government agency advising clients in the government contracting or technology industry is needed. Experience as a legal advisor to government procurement officials (particularly at the Federal level) is needed. Experience in reviewing and negotiating legal terms of a broad range of enterprise technology commercial contracts are needed. Experience engaging with U.S. government contracting officials, system integrators, prime contractors, and resellers. Should have the ability to demonstrate sound judgment, even in ambiguous situations. Should have the ability to work independently while being able to contribute successfully to cross-functional teams. Strong written and oral communication skills are needed.
