Director, Corporate Counsel Labor and Employment The candidate will advise on offers of employment, hirings, separations, separation agreements, compensation, benefits, stock and equity administration, as well as labor issues and disputes. Counsel on sensitive employee relations matters, including requests for accommodations, claims of discrimination and harassment, and related disputes. Support internal investigations and reviews. Oversee employment dispute and litigation matters. Draft, implement, and advise on employment and compliance policies. Support global labor and employment and executive compensation matters, as needed. Advise internal clients (Operations, Design & Construction, Portfolio Management Group, Sales, and other teams) on disputes, regulatory issues, and business resolution strategies. Assist VP, AGC, Litigation and Employment in preparation of pretrial litigation, including with respect to litigation strategies, document holds, discovery, third-party subpoenas and requests, review of filings and correspondence, and engagement of outside counsel. Manage outside counsel effectively and efficiently. Support the continuous improvement of standard forms and the development and improvement of policies and procedures for the Legal Department. Execute assigned projects as determined by needs of the Legal Department. JD degree from top law school is preferred. Should preferably have 5+ years of employment counselling and litigation experience, including a combination of nationally recognized law firm and/or in-house experience.
