Together, we accelerate the discovery, development and delivery of solutions that safeguard and improve human health. ## Job Description We are looking for a Senior Corporate Counsel, Strategic Transactions to join our team. This role is eligible for a remote work arrangement in which you can work remotely from your home. Additional information about this remote work arrangement will be provided by your interview team. Explore the flexibility and challenge that working here can provide. ## Essential Functions The Senior Corporate Counsel, Strategic Transactions will be responsible for: * Acting as a trusted legal advisor to IDT's Regulatory and Quality Affairs, Business Units, and Supply Chain functions. * Advising on all areas of law affecting IDT, with a goal of minimizing risks and proposing practical solutions that promote business development and growth. * Negotiating, drafting, and reviewing significant technology and business transactions. * Conducting internal compliance investigations, as needed. * Supporting Regulatory Affairs to drive strategic discussions and decisions about the changing legal and regulatory landscape for genomic medicine. * Developing and maintaining a solid understanding of various business processes and policies and supports enterprise risk management activities, with the ability to effectively evaluate legal exposure, manage risk, and achieve business goals within appropriate legal guidelines. * Exhibiting excellent communication and time management skills, with a focus on pragmatic decision-making and efficient delivery of legal advice in a rapidly changing environment. * Possessing working knowledge of HIPAA and healthcare data privacy laws and regulations. * Providing strategic advice and risk assessments related to licensing and other complex commercial transactions. * Collaborating with administrative staff and paralegals to contribute to a high-performance legal team. * Enabling others to be successful and managing global service providers to provide back-office support where necessary. * Exhibiting judicious communication and time management skills, with a focus on pragmatic decision-making and efficient delivery of legal advice in a rapidly changing environment. * Demonstrating behavior consistent with the Integrated DNA Technologies Core Values. ## Education The successful candidate will have: * Doctorate of Jurisprudence (J.D.) from a top tier law school. * Member in good standing of the bar of any US state. * Participating in continuing legal education (through membership in the State and local Bar Associations and ongoing reading of legal periodicals and attendance at seminars). ## Professional Experience The successful candidate will have: * 7 years of experience at top tier law firm or life sciences company, with experience providing advice and transactional support on licensing, healthcare regulations, and/or manufacturing and supply chain in highly regulated environments. * Experience resolving conflict between groups with opposing perspectives, agendas or priorities. ## Other Job Qualifications The successful candidate will have: * Excellent analytical research and precision documentation writing skills. * Ability to handle long-term and/or complex legal projects with significant financial or other business impact. * Superior interpersonal skills and judgment with the ability to interact with all levels of professionals in the organization and deliver effective client presentations. * Ability to manage fast-paced workload and add value to multiple projects simultaneously. * Ability to effectively present information to management through MS Office and other software tools. * Adaptability to perform under stress when confronted with emergent, critical, unusual, or dangerous situations. * Adaptability to performing a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another without loss of efficiency or composure. * Ability to maintain both a high standard of courtesy and cooperation in dealing with co-workers. * Adaptability to accepting responsibility for the direction, control or planning of an activity. * Adaptability to situations requiring the precise attainment of set limits, tolerances or standards. * Adaptability to perform repetitive work or to perform continuously the same work, according to set procedures sequence or pace. ## What We Offer offers a competitive salary and benefits package, including: * Shift Differentials (Extra Compensation for less traditional shifts) * Generous Paid Time Off Accruals * 16 Hours PAID Volunteer Time Off * 11 Paid Holidays * Up to eight (8) weeks of 100% paid parental leave to eligible U.S. associates * 401(k) with Company Match * Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance Options conducts drug screens and background checks on applicants who accept employment offers.
