SALT - Indirect Manager
The candidate should have a Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting or business related field. Certified Public Accountant (or commitment to pass CPA exam before being promoted to Manager and thereafter obtain CPA licensure), Enrolled Agent or Member of the Bar required. Accounts Payable Manager, Accounts Payable Specialist, Certified Accounts Payable Professional or Certified Member of Institute for Professionals in Taxation needed. Must have 5+ years of experience. Should have demonstrates proven thorough knowledge and success contributing to practice management, emphasizing the participation on and management of workstreams within client engagements that involve the evaluation and enhancement of clients' indirect tax processes and/or systems to get better control over data and manage costs, including: state and local tax sales and use tax laws, regulations, policies and procedures; tax planning, restructuring, due diligence, audit defence, reverse audits and audit management for companies with a presence in multiple taxing jurisdictions; utilization of Sales Tax software applications, such as Vertex, Avalara; and sales and use tax implications on FAS 5. Should demonstrate proven thorough technical skills in a wide range of sales and use tax matters, including the following: FAS 5, reverse audits, tax planning, consulting, compliance, automation, mergers and acquisitions, controversy and audit defence; implementations of Sales Tax software applications; process improvement and technology implementation with respect to indirect taxes, including Sales and Use, VAT, and Excise taxes; and implementation of sales tax software tools in the context of ERP implementations and upgrades.
