Patent Attorney
The candidate will be working closely with golf club research and development to research inventions and work to ensure timely patent creation and filing in view of the accelerated filing requirements imposed by the introduction of the America Invents Act of Sept 16, 2011 and its 'first to file' provisions for patents filed after March 16, 2013. Will research patentability of ideas created by the R&D Club group pertaining to golf club development. Coordinate meetings with management and scientists to discuss potential inventions. Act with speed and urgency to draft and prosecute patent applications in a timely fashion with minimum turnaround time. Update inventions and patent applications on a regular basis.
The candidate should have a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. Should also have a J.D. degree from an accredited law school (ranking in Top 33% of graduating law class) OR have 2+ years of experience as a patent attorney specializing in drafting patents in the mechanical arts. Should have ability to handle a broad range of mechanical device related patent/research activities. Serious interest in golf preferred.
