International Tax Senior
The candidate will be responsible for the preparation, analysis and review of international corporate income tax returns, US and foreign partnership tax returns, informational returns for foreign corporations, financial outlook tax input and tax accruals. Will prepare and review the international components of the quarterly and annual income tax provision process including: review and analysis of the foreign tax packages completed by foreign controllers; incorporation of statutory international income tax provision calculations into the consolidated global income tax provision including evaluation of valuation allowances, tax attribute carryforwards, deferred tax calculations and the impact of purchase accounting; preparation of foreign uncertain tax positions and their impact on both the foreign jurisdiction and US filing jurisdictions; preparation of the inclusions to be recorded in the US related to foreign operations such as Subpart F income, Section 956, deemed dividends and withholding taxes; tracking of OFL, E&P and foreign tax credits; and preparation and analysis of cash flows related to international taxes. Research international tax planning. Research and track political and legislative environments within the jurisdictions of company's footprint and beyond to identify opportunities and risks related to international taxation. Prepare and maintain international transfer pricing documentation. Prepare US compliance for foreign operations including: forms 5471, 8858 and 1118 and related calculations and workpapers; all statements, elections and disclosures as required on an annual basis; and coordination with tax personnel to ensure foreign inclusions are calculated and available for inclusion in the consolidated 1120. Interact with other functional managers on tax issues, including legal, human resources and payroll, as well as business units financial/operating management with respect to subsidiaries and SBUs in developing policies to minimize tax liabilities. Travel less than 10% to domestic and international businesses.
The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university; and 3-5 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. M.A. in Taxation or Professional Accounting, or J.D. degree preferred. CPA is also preferred. Should have strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and ASC 740. A solid knowledge of payroll and individual taxes as they affect corporations is needed. Prior exposure to international tax matters is essential. Experience with a 'Big Four' public accounting firm with focus on the service of multinational clients on international tax engagements and a corporate tax department is preferred. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CorpTax desired. Exposure to SAP BPC (Outlooksoft) and/or Hyperion preferred.
