Foreign Exchange Compliance Professional
The candidate will be the primary markets product coverage officer in the US of the Foreign Exchange (FX) Business Advisory responsible for advisory, monitoring and surveillance activities. Will report directly to the Global Head of FX. Interact closely with the EMEA FX Compliance coverage team in London and take direction from the Head of the EMEA compliance coverage team who has daily management responsibility for FX compliance coverage globally. Work closely with colleagues in Markets product coverage including those that cover the Emerging Markets business and RSG. Provide advisory compliance support for the FX business, answering queries, interpreting legislation. Have close interaction with Front Office sales and trading. Manage all Americas FX Compliance projects. Aid in development and implementation of monitoring and surveillance reports and processes, manage process for liaise with front office to establish root cause for potential exceptions. Identify false positive criteria and eliminating false positives from exception reports. Review and develop current internal policies and procedure covering the FX business. Conduct Verifications of front office and operational compliance with internal and regulatory requirements. Draft and implement policies and procedures to address implementation of financial reform regulations. Train front office sales and trading and relevant Infrastructure areas, when required, on policy updates. General compliance training as and when required. Execute the Compliance Enhancement Programme and Compliance coverage's implementation of regulatory change as it relates to the CFX Business in NY. Assist in managing responses to Regulatory/Exchange requests.
The candidate should have a four-year college degree or equivalent. Law degree is preferred. Must have 3+ years of legal and compliance experience, ideally in an investment bank. Should have experience of FX markets or related swaps, futures or securities mechanics and fundamentals. Must have experience of developing policy, assessing risks, implementing procedures, training, monitoring and review.
