The candidate will focus primarily in three areas: tax planning, international tax compliance and US GAAP tax accounting. Will have exposure to all levels of corporate management and external advisors on outsourced projects. Manage the international and federal tax due diligence process related to acquisitions. Assist with the international tax IRS audit. This includes working with the international field auditors on the IDR responses, positioning to minimize any exposure, negotiations, and protests. Review the planning transactions for any international and federal tax issues to assist in managing the company's tax risks. The transactions involve complex international and federal income tax issues and require strong technical and analytical skills. Review valuations related to the planning transactions. Review transfer pricing issues to minimize the company's tax risks. Manage/develop the staff. Manage the pool staff with the other areas of the tax department to ensure there are sufficient resources to drive the projects during the year. Assist in driving efficiencies in the international tax and tax provision processes. Monitor legislative changes and determine any impact to the company from a tax and tax provision perspective. Ensure necessary controls are in place to complete timely and accurate filings.

The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting. CPA and/or J.D. degree required. MST or LL.M. degree preferred. Must have 10+ years of international income tax and tax provisions experience in a Big 4 accounting firm and/or comparable tax experience in a large corporation. Strong international tax and tax provision technical skills required. International tax planning and restructuring experience needed. Must have 10+ years of international income tax and tax provisions experience in a Big 4 accounting firm and/or comparable tax experience in a large corporation. Strong international tax and tax provision technical skills required. International tax planning and restructuring experience needed. Familiarity with federal tax, including Subchapter C and K essential. Familiarity with state and local tax issues is a must. Ability to research international tax issues and tax provision issues is preferred. Overall knowledge of federal and state income taxes desired. Should be familiar with transactional concepts relating to mergers and acquisitions and divestitures, as well as transfer pricing matters.

Transaction Advisory Services Vice President
The candidate will work on buy/sell-side tax due diligence engagements. Will identify and analyze tax risks and opportunities while advising both strategic and private equity buyers and sellers on alternative tax strategies for acquisition, disposition, and restructuring of businesses. Identify and understand complex federal, state local, sales, use and other tax issues through reading term sheets, letters of intent, purchase agreements, tax returns and financial statements, and to evaluate the business, financial and accounting implications of such tax issues as they relate to specific transactions. Identify post-acquisition steps to achieve anticipated earnings/cash flow improvements. Assist clients in identifying pre and post-acquisition transaction issues. Contribute to the report-writing process.

The candidate should have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in accounting, MST or J.D./LL.M. degree. Must have 5+ years of related work experience (5+ years of relevant experience in M&A tax due diligence, deal structuring, and post acquisition planning). Public accounting experience and CPA license a plus. Supervisory experience is needed. Should have flexibility to travel, as needed.

Tax Senior - International Tax Quantitative Services
The candidate will report directly to the sub-area leader of the ITqS practice. Will work with the National ITqS Leader, others in the National ITqS group and local office teams in the design and execution of complex ITqS projects with significant clients of the firm. Projects will include assisting clients with US international information reporting, computing US tax attributes related to international operations, modeling the impact of proposed US international tax legislation, and advising clients on improvements to their tax provision process. Assist in the development of the ITqS practice including the development and implementation of quantitative tools and processes. Provide thought leadership by drafting Tax Alerts and articles on ITqS technical developments for internal and external publication and teaching internal training courses on international taxation.

The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in accounting and 3 years of related work experience OR a Graduate degree in law or tax and 2 years of related work experience. Must have 3+ years of relevant tax experience with a Big 4 public accounting firm or equivalent experience in business or industry. CPA certification is required. Experience in modeling quantitative attributes around foreign tax credits is needed.
