Corporate Counsel The candidate will provide Employment Law counseling and assistance, including recruiting and hiring practices, training programs, disciplinary actions, terminations, wage and hour compliance, government contracting, affirmative action and OFCCP compliance and diversity programs. Will also offer legal support for employment-related pre-litigation disputes and litigation matters and government agency inquiries as well as review and develop company employment related policies and practices for existing and new business operations in a variety of jurisdictions. Participate in internal audits and investigations on employment related matters, and provide general counseling and support outside of employment law, including to general corporate matters, regulatory and contract matters. Should have JD degree or related field or equivalent relevant work experience. Should have 3+ years of work experience in employment law. Should have 6+ years of focused experience in employment law. Licensed to practice law in California is preferred. Experience working in a law firm or corporate environment where daily interaction occurred with the law firm s clients or organization s executive team is needed. Ability to work in the California area is preferred. Ability to work on a periodic or permanent basis in the greater Sacramento area is needed. Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position is needed.
