Corporate Counsel

Corporate Counsel Duties: Work closely with the companys General Counsel and would provide management with effective advice on company strategies and their implementation, help manage the legal function, and collaborate with outside counsel. Will be involved in complex business transactions and scenarios. Assist in directing the work of the companys legal team to effectively manage the companys day-to-day corporate and commercial legal matters. Manage, draft, review, edit and negotiate various types of commercial contracts. Support all corporate and commercial functions. Help manage an intellectual property portfolio including enforcement of intellectual property rights. Serve as the legal point of contact when questions arise in the business. Develop and modify practices, policies and procedures to conform with business requirements and maintain compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Qualifications: JD Degree from an accredited law school with license to practice law in California. 3 + years of experience in a major law firm or in a companys in-house legal department. Advanced communication skills and ability to understand, interpret and convey to others business, technical, legal and financial information. Familiarity with corporate and employment law. Ability to confidently work independently with minimal supervision, while adapting quickly to and learning in a rapidly-changing environment. Strong organizational skills with a proven ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines. Comprehensive understanding of business needs and resourcefulness and reliability in handling and completing matters. International business experience preferred.
