Corporate Counsel, Immigration The candidate will help to build immigration support program. Will directly assist in most immigration matters in-house, specifically employment-based, non-immigrant visa applications and permanent residency applications. Also responsible for compiling and maintaining various status reports and records relative to immigration related records. Responsibilities: Provide instruction and advice to Teslas worldwide employees regarding U.S. immigration related questions. Oversee paralegal management of NIV and IV cases that are handled in-house or by external counsel. Provide instruction and advice to business stakeholders regarding immigration strategies and options for new hire candidates as well as the movement of current employees. Run reports and help the team monitor employees statuses, including monitoring expiration dates, filing dates. Assist with U.S. nationals work-related travel or relocation. Prepare NIV cases from beginning to end in-house, as needed. Should have a Law degree with a strong academic background. Should have Bar license in any U.S. jurisdiction. Strong, in-depth knowledge of immigration law, including 4+ years of high volume employment-based Immigration experience is required. Experience with global immigration practice a plus. Strong legal writing and drafting skills are required. Must have solid knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint, as well as Immigration database software.
